SRINAGAR — Srinagar Police have attached immovable property worth around ₹4 crore in Budgam district belonging to a drug peddler, as part of an ongoing crackdown on the narcotics trade, police said in a handout.
The property of Fayaz Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Hussain Dar, a resident of Ichgam, Budgam, was attached by Police Station Khanyar in connection with FIR No. 04/2026, registered under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act, 1985, police said.
According to officials, the attached assets include a two-storey residential house with an attic, along with 5 kanals and 17 marlas of land. The land bears Khasra numbers 415/416 and is located at Ichgam, Budgam. The estimated market value of the property is about ₹4 crore.
The attachment was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, after the property was identified as an asset allegedly acquired from proceeds of drug trafficking, police said.
Police said the action is part of J&K Police’s broader efforts to dismantle the financial networks of drug traffickers and strip them of wealth generated through the illicit trade.
“Srinagar Police remains committed to making the city drug-free and will continue strict action against traffickers, their associates and properties linked to narcotics,” officials said.
