Only enquiry counter closed as a precautionary measure, says RPO Srinagar

SRINAGAR — Amid reports about closure of Passport Office Srinagar, authorities on Friday said that the office will continue to function normally, saying only enquiry counter has been closed while the office will remain open.

Regional Passport Officer (RPO) Srinagar, B B Nagar said that no order has been issued regarding the closure of passport office, saying that he has only appealed people to postpone their visit to the office to stay healthy and safe.

However, he added that the enquiry counter has been closed only for the well-being of people including the employees, adding that the office will function normally.
