Suspected militants lob grenade on CRPF in Srinagar

SRINAGAR — Suspected militants on Monday lobbed a grenade on a CRPF bunker at Gulshan Nagar, Nowgam in the outskirts of Srinagar city.

Reports reaching here said that the suspected militants hurled a grenade on CRPF’s 117 Bn bunker at Gulshan Nagar, Nowgam.

Confirming the incident, a police officer said that the device, however, did not explode.

The officer said that Bomb Disposal Squad reached the spot and the device is being defused.
