SRINAGAR — Tragedy struck in the Hajibagh HMT area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Thursday afternoon as an 18-year-old lost his life in a road accident.
According to an official statement quoted by a local news agency, Zubair Ali, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sofi and a resident of Hajiveera, Baramulla, suffered critical injuries after being struck by a tipper.
The incident resulted in his immediate hospitalization, but despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
The police have initiated an investigation into the accident. The vehicle involved has been seized, and the alleged perpetrator has been apprehended.
