Territorial Army man killed, another injured in Shopian

Shopian: A Territorial Army man was killed and another injured in a gunfight at Kapran Batagund area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Six militants have been killed in the gunfight which broke out around 1:30 AM.

A police official said that an Army soldier of 162 BN Territorial Army, identified as Nazir Ahmad, was killed in the firefight going on in Batagund village.

The slain, he said, was a resident of Kulgam district.

Another soldier, whose identity was not immediately known, was wounded in the gunfight.
