BANDIPORA — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested three militant associates of different militant outfits in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A senior police officer said that a cordon and search operation was launched by joint teams of security forces and Bandipora Police in various parts of the district.
“Three militant associates from various parts of Bandipora district were arrested. Incriminating material was recovered from them,” the officer said.
He said that trio were involved in serious offenses like providing shelter, logistics support, and assistance to militants operating in the district from time to time.
The officer further said that the arrested trio associates belong to different militant outfits and have been identified as Abrar Gulzar, a resident of Bagh, Bandipora, Muhammad Waqar, a resident of Chettibandi, Bandipora and Muneer Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Quil Muqam, Bandipora,” he said.
He said that a case FIR number 74/2020 under Section 16, 18, 39 UAPA, 7/27IA act have been registered in Police Station Bandipora and further investigation of the case is going on.
