Tral youth hangs himself to death in Srinagar

SRINAGAR — A youth from Tral area of south Kashmir committed suicide in Bemina area of Srinagar on Tuesday morning, for unknown reasons.

The 25-year-old youth, from Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, finished his life by hanging himself to death on Tuesday morning at an under-construction maternity hospital in Bemina area of Srinagar.

Police officials, while confirming the incident, said that the youth, identified as Altaf Ahmad Gujjar, son of Bashir Ahmad Gujjar of Aripal area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district was found hanging in the second storey of the building.

Meanwhile, a case was been registered regarding the incident in the concerned police station and further investigation was set in motion.

The officials further said that the dead body has been sent to hospital for completing medico-legal formalities, after which it will be handed over to the kin for the last rites.
