
SOPORE — A CRPF trooper and a civilian were killed while as three CRPF men were injured after militants attacked a party of paramilitary CRPF on Wednesday morning in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.
An official said that militants attacked a party of CRPF near model town Sopore. “One civilian and a CRPF man were killed. Three CRPF men have also sustained injuries,” the official added.

Eyewitness said that a police party reached to the spot and rescued a three-year-old boy, whose father got killed in cross-firing. “He (boy) was wailing on the body of father who had received bullets. A police person carried the baby in his lap and took him away,” they said.
An official confirmed the incident and identified the slain CRPF personnel as Dipchand Verma. While as the injured CRPF personnel have been identified as constable Bhoya Rajesh, constable Deepak Patil and Nilesh Chawde.
