
GANDERBAL — One of the troopers injured in yesterday’s grenade attack in central Kashmir succumbed to his injuries in the hospital today.
The grenade was lobbed at CRPF Bunker 115 Bn G-Coy deployed at Tawheed Chowk Ganderbal yesterday. Three troopers sustained injuries in the attack.
They had been identified as Assistant Sub Inspector Netrapal Singh, Constable Anand Mal, Constable Chitrunjay Chotia and Head Constable Suliman.
Hospital sources said that one of the troopers identified as Chitranjan Chotia succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
A police official, while confirming the death of the CRPF man, said an FIR vide number 258/2020 under Section 7/27 Arms Act stands registered in this regard.
