SRINAGAR — Awantipora Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two militant associates of Ansar Gazwat Ul Hind and Hizbul Mujahideen from Tral and Awantipora areas who are involved in providing shelter, support, logistics and passing sensitive information to the militants of proscribed outfit AuGH and HM.
The police in a statement issued here said the arrested associates have been identified as Sayar Ahmad Shah from Tral and Tanseem alias Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh from Awantipora.
“Incriminating material has been recovered from both the arrested persons while as a case FIR number 46/2020 and 68/2020 stands registered against the said persons in Police Station Tral and Police Station Awantipora, respectively under relevant sections of the law,” the statement said.
