SRINAGAR — Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two militant associates from north Kashmir’s Sopore village.

An official said that during Naka checking at Darpora Bomai, which was laid by a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, SOG Sopore, CRPF 92, 179 BN, two militant associates were arrested.

The officer identified both as Ishfaq Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Hassan Mir of Gund Brath and Mohammad Shafi Bhat son of Late Mohd Maqbool of Darpora Bomai and said that they recovered one hand grenade and 20 rounds of AK-47 from their possession.
