Two militants killed in encounter with security forces in Baramulla

BARAMULLA — Security forces on Wednesday neutralized two militants during an encounter in Hadipora Rafiabad area of northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

As per the details reported by the news agency KNS, the operation was initiated by joint teams of the Army, CRPF, and Jammu & Kashmir Police following specific inputs. “As the security forces approached the suspected location, the terrorists opened fire, triggering a retaliatory encounter.”

In the ensuing encounter, both the militants were killed and incriminating materials, arms, and ammunition were recovered from the site. However, the identities and affiliations of the deceased militants are yet to be ascertained.

The area was under a security cordon, with search operations continuing to ensure the complete neutralization of any threats.
