
The government forces compromising of Indian army units, paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force and the local anti-insurgency police had on Wednesday late afternoon cordoned Goosu, Ishmender, Wahibug and Godur village in the southern district, which has seen a renewed anti-India insurgency since 2010.

A top police official said that the two rebels got killed who had taken shelter in the house of a villager Altaf Ahmad Dar.
