Veeri visits Udhampur petrol bomb attack victims’ families at Uranhal and Botengu

Srinagar: Minister for Horticulture, Haj and Auqaf, Mr Abdul Rehman Veeri today visited Udhampur petrol bomb attack victims’ families at Uranhal and Botengu in Anantnag and expressed sympathy with the victims’ families and assured them that government has taken all necessary steps for their treatment. The victims sustained burn injuries while their truck was allegedly attacked with a petrol bomb by some miscreants near Udhampur on October, 9 late night.
Mr Veeri informed the victim’s family members that government has taken all requisite measures for their special treatment. He said the persons involved in the incident have been arrested by the police. An FIR under Explosives Substance Act has been registered against the culprits at Police Station Udhampur. Investigation in this regard is underway and action warranted under law would be taken against the culprits involved in the incident.
He said that government will not allow anybody to disrupt peace and harmony in the State and appealed the people to maintain age old brother- hood and communal harmony at all cost and work in unison to give befitting replay to trouble mongers and those hell bent to disrupt the communal harmony in the State.
