PULWAMA — Frequent power outages have irked residents in many villages of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Residents from Chandigam, Palpora, Wasoora, Nownagri and other adjoining villages said that from past couple of weeks, they are not receiving electricity as per schedule.

“We get hardly two hours of electricity in a day against scheduled eight hours,” said Abdul Majid, a resident of Chandigam. He added that it has become very difficult for them to stay indoors after their area was declared Red Zone coupled with frequent power cuts.
