SRINAGAR — A woman lost her life while seven others were injured in a road accident in Awantipora area of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
An official quoted by a local news agency said that an accident took place at Chersoo Awantipora, in which eight people got injured and were taken to PHC Awantipora.
He said at PHC Awantipora, doctors declared one woman namely Sumi Jan, wife of Mudasir Ahmad Ganie and a resident of Panzgam, as dead.
He further added that among the injured persons, three patients have been referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further treatment and four of the injured were given treatment in PHC Awantipora and were stable.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation.
