KULGAM — A woman fainted during a raid conducted by Army in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Abdul Salam whose house was raided by soldiers from 1st RR said that her daughter-in-law fainted and later, she was hospitalized where she spent the whole night.

Divulging information about the incident, he said that two weeks ago, Army detained a 16-year-old boy from Bolus village on charges of stone-pelting and that boy gave the name of our relative Burhan Shafi.

“Though Burhan lives in another place, the Army accused us of hiding him. My daughter-in-law fainted after soldiers entered into the house,” Abdul Salam from Sonigam Kulgam said.

He said that soldiers left after the incident and didn’t touch anyone.

A police official feigned ignorance about the incident, saying he doesn’t know anything about it.
