KULGAM — A 25-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious conditions at Okai village of Damhal Hanjipora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.
Reports reaching here said that some locals spotted the body near the bank of Veshav Nallah at Mahabal and immediately informed police about it.
Officials identified the deceased as Aashiq Hussain Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar, a resident of Okai village of Kulgam.
One the locals alleged that government forces have been giving free hand to drug peddlers.
A police officer, while confirming the incident, said that preliminary investigation suggests that the youth died due to overdose of drugs.
