Youth goes missing in Baramulla’s Pattan area

PATTAN — A 22-year-old youth has gone missing in Pattan area of northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district since February 26 this year.

According to reports, a boy namely Abid Qayoom son of Abdul Qayoom Lone, a resident of Noor Bagh Mohalla of Wusankhai Pattan has gone missing on February 26 when he left his home.

An official said that according to the family members Abid had left home on February 26 and since then he didn’t return home.

He said that the family members lodged a missing complaint in the concerned police post on March 1 to seek the whereabouts of their kin.

The official said that police have launched a manhunt and further investigation has also been taken up to trace the missing boy.

SHO Pattan, Nisar Ahmad confirmed that Abid’s family has lodged a missing complaint in the concerned police post yesterday.
