ANANTNAG — A youth was injured after being stabbed by his friend in Krangsoo area of Mattan in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.

An official told the news agency KNO that Adnan Altaf of Krangsoo was stabbed by his friend outside his home after an argument.

He said Adnan received injuries in his arm and shoulder in the attack. “He was shifted to a hospital, where his condition is said to be stable,” he said.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.

Another youth stabbed at Akad, Mattan, hospitalized

Meanwhile, another youth was injured after he was stabbed by unknown persons in Akad area of Mattan in the south Kashmir district.

Sources told the news agency KNO that a group of miscreants first thrashed a youth identified as Sameer Ahmad Magray, son of Abdul Rashid Magray, a resident of Hardu Akad and later stabbed him with a knife.

“The injured person was rushed to SDH Seer for treatment where doctors referred him to GMC Anantnag for further treatment,” they said.

The condition of the victim was not known immediately.
