Youth injured in stabbing incident in central Kashmir’s Karan Nagar

SRINAGAR — A youth was injured after being stabbed in Karan Nagar area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday afternoon.

Reports from the local news agency CNS said the incident occurred at Karan Nagar area when the victim, identified as Ahsan Zargar, a resident of Zampa Kadal, Chattabal was attacked with a sharp object.

In the attack, the victim was gravely injured. He was immediately shifted to nearby SHMS Hospital Srinagar for treatment, the report said and added that the condition of the youth was said to be critical.

Meanwhile, the local police have taken cognizance of the stabbing incident and started an investigation in this regard.

It is pertinent to mention here that a fruit vendor was also stabbed to death last month in Srinagar’s Dalgate area by another fruit seller.
