SRINAGAR — Amidst the ongoing lockdown ordered by the government to prevent spread of coronavirus, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar (IPS) on Wednesday said that no passes are required for load carriers carrying essential goods from inter-State or within the UT.

IGP Kashmir said, “No passes are required for load carriers carrying essential goods from one State to another or within the UT. However, they are not allowed to carry passengers. Driver and helpers are advised to carry a letter from vehicle owner”.

He further said that this will help in uninterrupted supply of essential goods in J&K.

Meanwhile, the IGP Kashmir has denied the news report by calling it ‘wrong attribution’ as per Kashmir News Service (KNS).
