Integrated Child development Services (ICDS)

SRINAGAR — Government today posted Rubina Kousar as Mission Director, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) in Jammu and Kashmir.

A Government Order Number 435-JK (GAD), Dated: 14-05-2021 to this effect states, “In the interest of administration, Ms. Rubina Kousar, KAS, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, is posted as Mission Director, ICDS, J&K, against an available vacancy, with immediate effect.”

The post was held by Ms. Nitu Gupta (KAS) prior to the announcement of the latest transfer and posting order by the administration.

It is pertinent to mention that the Directorate of Integrated Child Development Services is primarily concerned with the implementation of schemes related to children in the age group of 0-6 years, adolescent girls as well as pregnant and lactating women.

ICDS was launched in 33 Blocks on October 2, 1975, in response to the challenge of meeting the holistic needs of the child. Today, ICDS is one of the world’s largest and most unique outreach Programmes for children.
