SRINAGAR — Six travellers were among 234 fresh COVID-19 infections reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, taking the total case tally to 120527, officials said on Tuesday.
Among them, 103 are from Jammu Division and 131 from Kashmir Valley, the officials said.
Giving district-wise details, Srinagar reported 69 cases, Baramulla 6, Budgam 15, Kupwara 4, Pulwama 21, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 1, Shopian 4, Jammu 65, Udhampur 5, Rajouri 5, Doda 3, Kathua 11, Kishtwar 0, Samba 3, Poonch 3, Ramban 7 and Reasi 1.
Moreover, they said, 299 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals – 159 from Jammu Division and 140 from Kashmir Division.
40-year-old man, three others die of COVID-19, J&K toll 1879
A 40-year-old man was among four more persons who succumbed to the COVID-19 in last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.
Official sources said that two of the victims were from Kashmir Valley and included a 63-year-old man from Rawalpora Srinagar and a 40-year-old man from Gujarat, presently at Bemina Srinagar. Two other victims were from Jammu and include one each from Doda and Reasi districts respectively.
With these deaths, the total fatality count in J&K reached 1879—1185 in the Valley and 694 in the Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 449 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (354), Baramulla (171), Budgam (108), Kupwara (91), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (83), Doda (63), Bandipora (60), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (53), Rajouri (54), Kathua (48), Ganderbal (43), Shopian (38), Samba (38), Poonch (23), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (21), and Reasi (15).
