Government stops ads to Greater Kashmir, Kashmir Uzma

SRINAGAR — In a major crackdown against newspapers in Kashmir valley, Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday stopped advertisements to daily Greater Kashmir and Kashmir Uzma.

Well placed sources said that the government has stopped advertisements to daily Greater Kashmir and Urdu daily Kashmir Uzma.

Sources said that the government has directed the Department of Information to immediately stop advertisements to these top-seller daily newspapers.

“There are many other English and Urdu newspapers in the list to which government advertisements will be stopped shortly,” sources added.

However, there was no official confirmation from the Department of Information and Public Relations.
