PJF holds candlelit vigil over Danish Siddiqui’s killing

PULWAMA — Pulwama Journalists Federation (PJF) on Saturday evening held a candlelight protest in memory of late Danish Siddiqui, a Pulitzer-winning photojournalist.

Siddiqui lost his life reportedly in clashes between Aghan Taliban and Afgan military on Friday, July 16, 2021 in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar when he was on an assignment for Reuters.

Nisar-Ul-Haq, the PJF president and members of the association extended their sincerest condolences to the slain photojournalist’s family during a meeting held in this connection.

During the meeting, it was remembered how boldly brave Siddiqui used to frame truth through his lens.

The meeting concluded with special prayers for the slain soul as the members prayed for patience to the bereaved family.
