PJF office bearers call on DC Pulwama

PULWAMA — The office bearers of Pulwama Journalists Federation (PJF) on Tuesday called on Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner, as per a statement issued here, appreciated the efforts of PJF for forming an association of working journalists.

The office bearers discussed several issues confronting the journalists in the area with the Deputy Commissioner and apprised him that the body would work for upholding the highest standards of journalistic ethics.

During the meeting, it was impressed upon the DC to establish a Press Club in the town. “The DC gave a patient hearing to the PJF body and assured that the land for the press club would be identified soon,” the statement said.

As per the PJF statement, the DC Pulwama said that he would soon convene a meeting of journalists working in the district.
