
SRINAGAR — After Peoples Democratic Party, now Jammu Kashmir Awami National Conference has decided to stay away from the Delimitation Commission.
Awami Conference has said that the creation of the Delimitation Commission stands challenged before the Supreme of India and it doesn’t want to interfere in court matters.
The party in a communique to Chief Electoral Officer, Election Commission of India has said that it is constrained to participate in the proceedings that are likely to be initiated because of the hard fact that the creation of the Delimitation Commission stands challenged before the Supreme of India.
“It will not be proper to interfere with the working of the Supreme Court,” the party’s General Secretary, Advocate Mir Muhammad Shafi informed.
