SRINAGAR — Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) chairman and MP Engineer Rashid was greeted by a massive gathering in Anantnag, where he addressed a large public rally, criticizing regional political figures for their double standards.
Rashid targeted National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti, accusing them of hypocrisy in handling legal and political matters.
He highlighted their lack of solidarity with Kashmiris languishing in jails, contrasting their support for Arvind Kejriwal’s release with their criticism of his own interim bail.
Rashid emphasized that his struggle is focused on restoring Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, not against NC or PDP.
He criticized Mehbooba Mufti’s tenure as Chief Minister, particularly her treatment of South Kashmir, using pellets, bullets and filling jails with her own voters.
