SRINAGAR — The Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are all set to elect the Leader of its Legislature Party on Sunday (November 03).
The sources privy to the development, quoted by the news agency KNO, said that MLA Padder – Nagseni Constituency, Sunil Sharma would likely be the choice of MLAs, who will be meeting in Srinagar at Church Lane. The meeting is expected to take place at 11:00 am.
Sources said that the first choice was the MLA Nagrota, Devender Singh Rana, who died on Thursday evening at Faridabad Hospital in Delhi. Singh’s demise was widely condoled by politicians throughout the country.
Several BJP leaders including the party’s Incharge for J&K Tarun Chugh, J&K president Ravinder Raina and others will be present on the occasion.
