
SRINAGAR — The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) got a boost when former minister Syed Bashir Ahmad from Rajpora Pulwama, former district and sessions judge Mohamad Ashraf Malik and well-known bureaucrat Jamaat Ali Shaheen from Kangan Ganderbal joined PDP in presence of party president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti in an impressive program at party headquarters in Srinagar. Hundreds of political workers also joined with these leaders.
Mehbooba Mufti warmly welcomed new entrants into the party fold and assigned them to strengthen the party at the grassroots level under the sacred pro-people agenda given by Mufti Mohammed Syed for peace and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“New entrants have shown full faith in the agenda of the party and dynamic leadership of Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba who can streamline the political disorder in Jammu and Kashmir,” the party said in a statement.
Senior PDP leader and former minister Syed Nayeem Akhter Andrabi, PDP Vice President Choudhary Abdul Hameed, PDP Youth President Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, State Secretaries Bashir Ahmad Mir and Arif Laigaroo, Media Coordinator Bashir Beigh, District President Srinagar Abdul Qayoom Bhat, District President Ganderbal Zahoor Ahmad Rather, Vice Chairman DDC Ganderbal Sheikh Bilal Ahmad and other leaders were present on the occasion.
