
JAMMU — Former Member of Legislative Council, Surinder Singh Choudhary on Tuesday quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and is likely to join National Conference today.
Singh on his Twitter handle announced the decision. “Gud bye BJP….Ravinder Raina enjoy with your parivharbad and corruption,” Singh tweeted.
Singh, who joined BJP some eight months ago, was considered a prominent face of the BJP in the Jammu region. Erstwhile, he was associated with PDP. He was also a former MLC J&K.
Meanwhile, sources disclosed to the news agency KNS that Singh will likely join National Conference in Jammu today. “After parting ways from BJP, Singh is likely to join NC in the presence of Omar Abdullah at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu today,” sources said.
