SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Electoral Officer has officially sounded poll bugle across Jammu and Kashmir for the assembly elections overdue in Jammu and Kashmir state.
In a letter bearing number 1876/CEO/ELEC/2019/3060-82 dated 26-04-2019 to all deputy commissioners as district election officers of Jammu and Kashmir, the CEO has asked them to appoint nodal officers for the assembly elections within two days of the issuance of his above referred circular.

Sources told KNS that a formal announcement for the conduct of assembly elections by the Election Commission of India is expected within a weeks’ time.
