SRINAGAR — People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday questioned the summoning of PDP leader to police station on daily basis.

She asked Lieutenant Governor Manoj Singh that is this going to be the new norm of elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Mehbooba Mufti in a tweet said that her party leader Rouf Bhat was summoned to Shergarh Police Station today. “He was asked to report everyday & ensure he stays from 8 AM – 8 PM till SMC elections are over. As usual ‘upar say order’ is the justification.”

Mayor elections for Srinagar Municipal Corporation will be held on November 25 and today former Mayor Junaid Matuu filed his nomination papers.
