Srinagar, Feb 18: Stating that the return of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru’s body was the ultimate demand of his amalgam, chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani Monday announced a new protest calendar. In a press release issued here, Geelani was quoted saying that there would be no strike on Tuesday, but people must hold “peaceful protest in the evening”.
He said: “On Wednesday and Thursday, Kashmiri people must observe strike and hold protest demonstrations.”
On Friday, the octogenarian leader said there will be no strike till 1 PM. “But post congregational prayers, a shutdown must be observed,” he said.
