SRINAGAR — Former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party chairperson, Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday said Jammu and Kashmir should become a bridge of love and peace between India, Pakistan and China.
“To protect the future of Kashmiri youth, we will go to any length. Earlier, all laws were made in consultation with the public and they were people-friendly. But now, laws are being imposed on Kashmiris which are against their existence and we won’t tolerate it,” she said on the sidelines of a party function organized by the youth wing.
Mehbooba Mufti said that India is following anti-people and anti-Jammu Kashmir policies. I will lead the youth to safeguard and secure our rights. We will fight against the suppression. We have fought against Task Force, surrendered militants and POTA and we will now take on against the elements who have put the dignity of the people on stake,” Mehbooba said.
Mehbooba Mufti said that not only the dignity and identity of Kashmir needs to be safeguarded but this issue needs to be addressed. “I will always be on the forefront, leading my children,” she said.
