As many as 48 rights groups from different parts of the world, including US-based Human Rights Watch (HRW), have written to the World Health Organisation (WHO) to press the Government of India to restore internet access in Kashmir.

Shedding inhibitions, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav has pitched for restoring high-speed 4G Internet in Jammu and Kashmir to “pay the people for not pelting stones and shouting Azadi”.

The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday extended ban on high-speed internet till May 27 even as 2G service shall remain suspended in Pulwama and Shopian district for now.
