In a major relief to government job aspirants, the Jammu and Kashmir Government today announced new probationer and fixation of tenure rules for fresh appointments under its Statutory Order (SO) 192.

Jammu and Kashmir Government today referred 7052 Class-IV vacancies to J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) under provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2020.

The ban on inter-district and inter-division recruitment is no more applicable in Jammu & Kashmir as any domicile of the Union Territory can apply for any district and divisional cadre post.

According to a notification issued here today by the General Administration Department of the Union Territory of J&K, the Government has notified Jammu and Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2020 for appointment to Class IV posts in the UT of J&K.

Nearly 77,000 non-gazetted and Class IV posts are vacant in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Keeping with its promise of a simple, quick and transparent recruitment process, the Government has decided to approve the Jammu and Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2020 to lay down the procedure as well as the criteria for selection to all Class-IV posts.

The Administrative Council (AC) which met here under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor, G C Murmu, gave a go ahead to the recruitment of 2000 Panchayat Accounts Assistants.

Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu today emphasized on simplification of recruitment procedures and maintaining transparency to ensure faster and flawless recruitments.
