Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday announced the re-imposition of week-long lockdown across Kashmir valley, except Bandipora district, commencing from July 22 evening.

District Administration Pulwama today extended the lockdown restrictions for another week in the district. The lockdown restrictions will now be in place upto July 25, 2020.

Amid restrictions on the movement of people in wake of COVID-19 pandemic, a cricket match was held in Handwara town today.

In view of spike in the COVID-19 positive cases in the district and a likelihood of flouting of social distancing norms and SOPs, District authorities in Pulwama issued directions for intensification of restrictions and lockdown in Red/Containment Zones of the district.

All undergraduate / professional offline examinations scheduled in the month of July 2020 are hereby postponed due to the imposition of lockdown in Srinagar district, until further notification, Controller of Examinations, University of Kashmir, Prof Farooq A Mir said.
