SRINAGAR — Indian Railways is set to run Vistadome coaches in Banihal-Baramulla sections, in connection with the shooting of a documentary on the operations of the railway in the Valley. Meanwhile, an initial trail run of the Vistadome was held on Monday.
The schedule of Vistadome rake for the proposed documentary film was finalized in a meeting between Railway Board Chairman, its officers and the officials of Railways on August 22nd, which was headed by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha.
According to the schedule, a trial run of one locomotive and two coaches was held on Monday.
A Transit of Vistadome from Budgam to Banihal will be held tomorrow, while the Transit Vistadome between Banihal and Srinagar will be held on September 1st.
As per the schedule, the final Transit of Vistadome along with the film crew will be held from Srinagar to Baramulla and back to Srinagar on September 3, 2020.
The Railway officials were requested, in the meeting, to give the fitness of track for the trail run and Transit of Vistadome and to keep the staff ready as per schedule, while stressing upon them to treat the matter as most urgent.
