No comparison between Tibet and Kashmir: Hurriyat to Krishna

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) has rejected Foreign Minister, S M Krishan’s statement in China on Kashmir.
In a statement, Hurriyat (G) spokesperson criticized Krishna for urging China to accept Kashmir as an integral part of the India. “Kashmir is not even a part of India, leave alone the integral part,” he said.
He said that there was no comparison between Tibet and Kashmir and “it was ridiculous to make such comparison.”
“Tibet is an internal matter of China whereas there were more than 18 resolutions from United Nations accepting Kashmir as a dispute,” he claimed.
The Hurriyat reaction came a day after Krishna said that India was accepting Tibet as an integral part of China but at the same time urged Beijing to accept Kashmir as an integral part of India.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) has welcomed Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari’s statement that Kashmir belonged to Kashmiris and they (Kashmiris) should be allowed to decide their fate themselves. The Hurriyat also condemned the killing of a Kashmiri student in Lucknow who was found hanged down on a tree in mysterious circumstances.
