Waheed Para draws massive crowd at Pulwama campaign rally

SRINAGAR — MLA Pulwama and PDP leader Waheed Para on Saturday said that many aspirants on waiting lists for positions such as JE, FAA, JKPSI, and VLW in Jammu and Kashmir are facing issues. He said these candidates are missing out on valuable opportunities due to recent resignations and existing rules that hinder the automatic activation of waiting lists.

He called upon the government to consider a one-time exemption, similar to measures taken in Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana, to expedite the filling of vacant positions. This initiative would provide deserving candidates the chance they’ve been eagerly awaiting and facilitate their career advancement.

“Our youngsters deserve timely intervention. We hope the government hears this appeal,” Para concluded, urging action to support the aspirations of the youth.

Taking to microblogging site X, Para wrote, “Many aspirants on waiting lists for positions like JE, FAA, JKPSI and VLW in J&K are missing out on opportunities due to recent resignations and rules that prevent automatic activation of these lists.”

“We’re requesting the government for a one-time exemption, as done in Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana, to fill these vacant positions quickly. This would give deserving candidates the chance they’ve been waiting for and help them step forward in their careers without further delay,” he added.
