Administrative reshuffle in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district

SRINAGAR — In an administrative reshuffle announced by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, Pulwama district has seen changes in key positions.

Abdul Aziz Sheikh, JKAS, previously serving as Additional District Development Commissioner in Pulwama, has been reassigned to the same position in Anantnag district.

Meanwhile, Showkat Ahmad Rather, JKAS, who held the role of Additional District Development Commissioner in Kulgam, will now assume the responsibilities of Additional District Development Commissioner in Pulwama.

Additionally, Zaffar Shawl, JKAS, who held the role of Additional Deputy Commissioner in Awantipora, has been reassigned to the same position in Anantnag district.

Additionally, Nazir Ahmad Mir, JKAS, previously serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Handwara, will now assume the responsibilities of Additional Deputy Commissioner in Awantipora.

The transfers reflect the government’s efforts to streamline administrative functions and ensure effective governance across various districts in the region.

This reshuffle comes amidst broader efforts by the administration to optimize administrative efficiency and address the developmental needs of Pulwama district and its residents.
