Nature blesses Earth with diverse seasons, each holding its own significance in our environment. While personal preferences vary—some cherish summer’s vibrancy, others find solace in winter’s quiet embrace—the contrasts between these seasons shape our daily lives in profound ways.

In summer, Kashmir awakens in full splendour: flowers bloom, birds fill the air with song, and sunlight bathes the valley in warmth. Streets buzz with life as people move freely, revelling in the season’s generosity.

Winter, however, paints a starkly different picture. The world outside seems lifeless—roads lie empty, gardens turn barren, and even the hardiest souls retreat indoors, huddled under blankets and clutching heating gadgets.

The cold spares no one. Trees stand bare, their branches brittle against grey skies. Windows and doors remain shuttered, opened only briefly for chores before winter’s bite forces them closed again. Daily routines become battles: frozen taps, icy floors, and frequent power outages test resilience.

Children peer longingly through frosted panes, dreaming of cricket matches abandoned to the cold. Marketplaces, once lively with chatter, grow desolate, save for the occasional shopkeeper braving the chill.

Yet, amid winter’s harshness, there’s a quiet beauty—a promise. Snow blankets the valley, transforming it into a glistening wonderland, its silence echoing with anticipation. Yes, winter tests us, but it also reminds us of Kashmir’s enduring spirit.
