JKSSB Recruitment 2017 for 234 Posts in various Departments

Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has announced JKSSB Recruitment 2017 for 234 Posts in various Departments.

Pertinently, JKSSB chairman Mr. Simrandeep Singh yesterday posted about this recruitment on his Twitter handle.

Earlier, Jammu Kashmir Services Selection Board had announced JKSSB Recruitment 2017 for 1289 Posts in Education Department.

JKSSB, therefore, invites online applications from the permanent residents of J&K for various posts under this latest job advertisement (JKSSB Advertisement Notification No. 03 of 2017).

JKSSB Recruitment 2017 for 234 Posts includes jobs in various Departments including Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Department, Health & Medical Education Department.

For Kashmir Division, a total of 174 Posts have been announced through JKSSB Recruitment 2017 for 234 Posts in various Departments which include:

i) Assistant Store Keeper: 161 Posts (OM: 92, SC: 13, ST: 16, RBA: 32, ALC: 05, OSC: 03)

ii) Library Assistant: 02 Posts (OM: 02)

iii) Fisheries Development Assistant: 06 Posts (RBA: 01, SC: 01)

iv) Assistant Operator: 01 Post (OM: 01)

v) Re-Toucher Artist: 01 Post (OM: 01)

vi) Steno-Instructor: 02 Posts (RBA: 01, SC: 01)

vii) Mistry: 01 Post (ST: 01)

For Jammu Division, a total of 45 Posts have been announced through JKSSB Recruitment 2017 for 234 Posts in various Departments which include:

i) Junior Assistant: 21 Posts (OM: 12, RBA: 04, SC: 02, ST: 02, ALC: 01)

ii) Library Assistant: 02 Posts (OM: 02)

iii) Junior Laboratory Assistant: 12 Posts (OM: 07, RBA: 02, SC: 01, ST: 02)

iv) Fisheries Development Assistant: 04 Posts (OM: 02, RBA: 01, SC: 01)

v) Library / RR Assistant: 04 Posts (OM: 01, SC: 01, ST: 01)

vi) Mistry: 02 Posts (RBA: 01, SC: 01)

Also, for State Cadre, a total of 11 Posts have been announced through JKSSB Recruitment 2017 for 234 Posts in various Departments which include:

i) Information Assistant: 06 Posts (OM: 03, RBA: 01, SC:01, ST: 01)

ii) Videographer: 02 Posts (OM: 02)

iii) Library Assistant: 01 Post (OM: 01)

iv) Fitter: 02 Posts (RBA: 01, SC: 01)

As far as District Cadre is concerned, a total of 04 Posts have been announced through JKSSB Recruitment 2017 for 234 Posts in various Departments which include:

i) Assistant Jobber (Srinagar): 02 Posts (RBA: 01, SC: 01)

ii) Junior Health Inspector (Anantnag): 01 Post (OM: 01)

iii) Driver (Kulgam): 01 Post (OM: 01)

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants willing to apply for these various Posts in J&K Government Departments must fullfill the below mentioned eligibility conditions:

1) Domicile: Applicant should be a permanent resident of J&K only and can apply for posts advertised for his/her respective Division / District only. However, for State cadre posts, anyone who is a permanent resident of J&K can apply.

2) Age Limit: Applicant should have attained the age of 18 years and maximum age should not exceed 40 years.

Qualification & Selection Criteria: The Post-wise Educational Qualification & Criteria for JKSSB Recruitment 2017 for 234 Posts in various Departments is provided below:

1) Assistant Store Keeper / Clerk (Cadre: Kashmir Division; Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department):

Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized Indian University.

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Merit obtained in the Written Test only. There is no Interview for Assistant Store Keeper and Clerk posts.

2) Junior Assistant (Cadre: Jammu Division; Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department):

Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized Indian University along with knowledge of Type-Writing, having the speed of 35 WPM on a computer keyboard. Applicant must possess Six Months’ Computer Certificate from a recognized Institute. Applicants who have studied Computer at Degree / PG Level are exempted from having the Computer Certificate.

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Type Test (60 Marks) and Written Exam (40 Marks).

3) Information Assistant (Cadre: State; Information Department):

Qualification: Applicant should be a Graduate having obtained PG Diploma in Journalism OR Post Graduation in Journalism.

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Merit obtained in Written Test only. There is no Interview / Viva for this post.

4) Videographer (Cadre: State; Information Department):

Qualification: Applicant should be a Graduate having 1-Year Experience in Still Photography.

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Merit obtained in Written Test only. There is no Interview / Viva for this post.

5) Library Assistant (Information Department):

Qualification: Applicant should have a Bachelors Degree in Library Science. Applicants having Masters Degree in Library Science (M.LIS) after Graduation are also eligible to apply.

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Merit obtained in Written Test (Objective Type) only. There is no Interview / Viva for this post.

6) Junior Health Inspector – Computer (Cadre: Anantnag; Health & Medical Education Department):

Qualification: Matric

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Merit obtained in Written Test (Objective Type) only. There is no Interview / Viva for this post.

7) Driver (Cadre: Kulgam; Health & Medical Education Department):

Qualification: Matric along with Hill Driving Licence.

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Merit obtained in Written Test (Objective Type) and Driving Test.

8) Junior Laboratory Assistant (Cadre: Jammu Division; Higher Education Department):

Qualification: Applicant should be a Science Graduate. However, preference will be given to those having PG Diploma in professional Lab courses in Chemistry / Other Sciences.

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Merit obtained in Written Test (Objective Type). 95% weightage will be given to Written Test while 5% to preferential qualification.

9) Library / RR Assistant (Cadre: Jammu Division; Higher Education Department):

Qualification: Applicant should have a Bachelors Degree in Library Science. Those having two years’ Masters Degree in Library Science (M.LIS) after Graduation are also eligible to apply.

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Merit obtained in Written Test (Objective Type) only. There is no Interview / Viva for this post.

10) Mistry (Cadre: Jammu / Kashmir Division; Higher Education Department):

Qualification: Matric along with National Trade Test / ITI in the respective trade.

Selection Criteria: Written Test only (No Interview).

11) Fisheries Development Assistant (Cadre: Jammu / Kashmir Division; Animal / Sheep Husbandry Department):

Qualification: Applicant should be a Graduate in Fisheries Sciences OR B.Sc with Zoology or Industrial Fish & Fisheries.

Selection Criteria: Written Test only.

12) Fitter (Cadre: State; Transport Department):

Qualification: Applicant should be Class 10th pass along with ITI Trained in Motor Mechanism Trade. Candidate is subsequently required to pass the respective Trade Test.

Selection Criteria: Selection process comprises of Marks obtained in Written Test only. There is no Interview for this post.
