Students, businesses suffer as high speed internet barred in south Kashmir

Srinagar: Students, businesses and people in general complained of hardships as high speed internet services remain barred in south Kashmir from last many days.

Students have complained that they are not able to download their Admit Cards for upcoming JKSSB exams, cannot submit other online forms and are not able to study well due to low speed internet.

Students from south Kashmir have appealed authorities to restore high speed internet services so that they can download Admit Cards for upcoming exams and can submit other online forms.

“Due to restrictions on high speed internet, we are facing difficulties in downloading our Admit Cards”, said a group of students.

Besides students, e-commerce and other businesses, which depend on internet, also complained of suffering losses due to restrictions on high speed internet.

“I am totally dependent on internet to deliver services and cater to the needs of my clients. This internet restriction has taken a heavy toll on my business,” said a youth who runs an e-commerce website.
