Truck driver from Kulgam dies on Jalandhar-Pathankot highway

KULGAM — A truck driver from Kulgam was killed in a road accident on the Jalandhar-Pathankot highway last afternoon, official sources said here on Sunday.

Official sources said that a driver, identified as Mohammad Ishaq Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat, resident of Manzgam, was critically wounded when his truck (JKA8A-5309) collided with another truck at Jalandhar Punjab on the highway.

Issaq was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. “Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings,” they said.
