
SRINAGAR — National Youth Corps (NYC) on Monday demanded enhancement of remuneration, implementation of new job policy and providing insurance cover to cadets who are working tirelessly even in pandemic times.
District vice-president Budgam, Danish Nazir said soon after the COVID-19 outbreak across J&K, NYC cadets have been working tirelessly and assisting administration in tough times.
He said,”Though we were engaged under SRO 520 on December 21, 2017 but no enhancement in our remuneration was done so far.”
He also said they are working in various departments as a frontline force whenever need arose during which they performed their duties with sincerity and dedication.
He said we are serving like a permanent employee but unfortunately getting meager amount of Rs. 2500 per month as monthly remuneration.
He appealed Lieutenant Governor, GC Murmu led administration to look into the issue and draft proper job policy for them so that they get benefits as others avail.
