Yousmarg to entice tourists with snowbikes

BUDGAM — The J-K’s Department of Tourism is trying to entice tourists to visit the famous tourist destination of Yousmarg in central Kashmir’s Budgam district by bringing snowbikes to the tourist spot.

The owners of snowbikes have been directed by the Department to station themselves at the tourist destination in order to lure tourists to visit the place, to enjoy the rides over snow.

A snowbike owner, while speaking to The Kashmir Pulse, asked the authorities to create more such attractions in the lesser-known tourist places, so that more and more tourists throng the places like Yousmarg.

“This will not only attract more tourist inflow but it will also help create more job opportunities for the locals, who mostly depend on tourism,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that snowbiking is the sport or recreation of bicycling on snow. It is found in Kashmir’s tourist attraction during the winter season when there is snowfall.
