JKBOSE asks private schools to teach board-prescribed textbooks for Classes 6th to 8th

SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education on Wednesday directed all recognized private schools to teach only board-prescribed textbooks for Classes 6th to 8th from the ensuing academic session.

The news agency KNO has learnt that the Joint Secretary of Publication and Procurement of JKBOSE has said that there should be the implementation of textbooks published by JKBOSE by all the private schools affiliated with the board.

“It is once again reiterated for the information of all the stakeholders, especially all the private schools affiliated with JKBOSE across, that only the textbooks published by the board are implemented and prescribed for classes 6th to 8th from the ensuing academic session failing which necessary action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against the defaulters,” JKBOSE said in a statement.

“Parents are also advised that in case any school forces them to purchase books other than those published by JKBOSE, they should immediately contact the board,” BOSE said.
